The land transfer from Tawau to Semporna usually takes about 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions.

Typically, we advise arriving by early afternoon (around 12:00–13:00), to allow time for land transfer and boat departure.
If you arrive late, contact us immediately. In many cases we can reschedule your boat transfer (if possible), but additional charges may apply.

Yes, generally Semporna and its resorts are considered safe for tourists. Normal travel precautions avoiding isolated areas at night, securing valuables still apply.
Yes, you can still enjoy snorkeling even if you’re not a strong swimmer (with proper life jackets). For diving, you’ll need a basic swimming ability and must follow the safety training.
